yes, this! when i moved to america, people thought i was nuts when i took my shoes off when entering their house. my mum would KILL me if i entered the house without removing my shoes. another subtle difference between the two neighboring countries.
I must be far north enough to have grown up this way but, you ALWAYS take your shoes off! Especially at someone else’s house!
